Ở Việt Nam, Đạo Phật đã khéo léo hòa nhập với nếp sống và văn hóa của người dân. Trong hành trình phát triển đó, pháp môn Tịnh Độ đã được giới thiệu và giữ một vị trí quan trọng trong đời sống tín ngưỡng. Tuy nhiên, đáng tiếc thay, pháp môn Tịnh Độ, đặc biệt là việc hành trì câu niệm "Nam mô A Di Đà Phật," đôi khi chưa được hiểu thấu đáo.

Là một tu sĩ tại gia, con mong muốn tạo ra chuỗi bài viết này để tăng cường sự hiểu biết cho chính mình và trợ duyên cho những ai có duyên với con đường tu học Phật giáo, đặc biệt là pháp môn Tịnh Độ với lời nguyện về cõi Cực Lạc.

Để khởi đầu, con xin trùng tuyên Bảy câu hỏi trong pháp môn Tịnh Độ mà Sư Thích Giác Khang đã khai thị:

Những câu hỏi này như nói lên tâm tư của người con Phật mong cầu vãng sinh Cực Lạc. Với sự khai thị thấu đáo của Sư, con tin rằng các Phật tử sẽ vững tin hơn và tinh tấn hơn trên con đường tu tập, hướng tới giải thoát và an lạc.

Trong các bài viết tiếp theo, con sẽ trình bày lại câu trả lời của Sư cho từng câu hỏi và kết lại với những suy tư cá nhân.

In Vietnam, Buddhism has harmoniously integrated into the local people's lifestyle and culture. Throughout this process, the practice of the Pure Land School was introduced and has since played a significant role in religious life. However, regrettably, this practice, especially the chanting of "Namo Amitabha Buddha", is sometimes not thoroughly understood.

As a layman, I am creating this series to deepen my own understanding and, hopefully, to also predestinedly support others on their Buddhist path, particularly those who practice the Pure Land tradition and aspire for rebirth in the Pure Land.

To begin, I would like to present the Seven Vital Questions about the Pure Land School, as revealed by the venerable monk Thích Giác Khang:

Question 1: For what purpose do we go to Buddhist monasteries and recite Amitābha's name here?

Question 2: Where is Amitābha's Pure Land?

Question 3: By what means can we be reborn in Amitābha’s Pure Land?

Question 4: How many conditions must be met for rebirth in Amitābha’s Pure Land?

Question 5: In what order should Faith, Vow, and Practice occur?

Question 6: Which is the most important among Faith, Wow, and Practice?

Question 7: Does going to Buddhist monasteries and practising the Pure Land teachings guarantee rebirth in Amitābha’s Pure Land?

These questions express the concerns of Buddhists seeking rebirth in the Pure Land. With the monk's profound answers, it is believed that we can strengthen our faith and dedication to the practice, aiming for liberation and inner peace.
