The three-part documentary:
  • Part 1: Contribution of Bill — Melinda Foundation to addressing toilets and waste treatment in underdeveloped countries.
  • Part 2: Bill’s determination to prevent polio in underdeveloped countries, especially Nigeria.
  • Part 3: Model of nuclear reactor safe and environmental protection.
Go through it and takes a look inside the unique mind that founded Microsoft.
So here just my quick keynote takeaways when I'm watching it:
  • Left hand
  • Take no breakfast
  • Like walking
  • He fear of brain stop
  • Read many book, often read 5 book about something
  • When he in a vacation, he read 14 book, 150 page/ hour, 90% retention
  • He read “Bad blood”, “Zero to one” and me too ✌️
  • Introvert
  • Think Week -> Reading, thinking -> Slowdown and thinking clear, think best -> write down and lead to the way he wanted to lead
  • When write down thing to think about, that's like the code
  • The way he handle problems -> “hey, I just need to think”
  • Not healthy, he drink COKE in Think Week (haha)
  • - A: So if you’re not doing things to be inspiring, what are you doing things for?
    - Bill: Optimization
  • - A: So, if you got hit by a bus today, died. What’s the one thing, the one thing you said “God, I wish I had done that I haven’t done”

    - Bill: The day mother died.
