On @creativity, I remember having had an insightful discussion with my good friend Steve Harrison.

He has won more Cannes Lions awards than any other Creative Director in the World - which means he knows a thing or two about creativity 😁
One of the most important thing I remember from our discussion is the following.
You have to constantly fill your head with stuff.
To the extent that new ideas are only a combination of different things, it makes sense that the more things you have to combine, the more ideas you can come up with.
So how do you fill your head with stuff?
Traveling to countries of different culture is a wonderful way to do that.
But don't just go and sit on the beach. Go and visit the cultural places, learn their history and talk to locals. That will fill your head with more interesting stuff.
If you can't travel, let your mind travel. Just read books. Fiction, non-fiction, it doesn't really matter.
But I would suggest that if you're looking for ideas in a certain field, read the history of that field as well biographies of people who've been successful in it. History is always a good base to develop more perspective.
Finally, learning from people who aren't in your field (or the field you're trying to be creative about) is also a great way to fill your head - and increase the odds that you'll come up with a new idea by analogy.
In other words, here's what one of the most creative person in the world had to say about creativity: the more variety in your head, the more creative ideas you can come up with.
Fill up your head first.
Another ways are to get feedback from people you are working and track your improvement over time. You can do this by using free and simple feedback app like Sprynkl
